There is an old saying that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas but that is not the case for Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott as he may be the target of extortion. The Las Vegas security guard that he shoved back in May is filing charges against the Dallas Cowboys star running back. Kyle Johnson was shoved into a fence at the EDC Las Vegas but did not initially press charges against Elliott but changed his course of action on Friday.
Johnson told Fox 5 Las Vegas on Friday, “The NFL is basically saying ‘It’s OK for you to go to Vegas, get obliterated, and then shove people’,”. Johnson was speaking as the NFL did not take any course of action after the may incident.
It is also believed the 2-time Pro Bowl running back may be the target of extortion. NFL insider Ian Rappaport dropped the news after speaking with a lawyer of Elliott via Twitter:
Ezekiel Elliott also reached out to apologize to Johnson but to no avail as Johnson still pressed charges on Friday afternoon. He said that “It’s very unempathetic, like ‘Oh, I have to do this, I’m being forced to do this’,” he said. “Like, ‘I don’t want to be here right now’ kind of thing.”
